I am committed to creating a nonjudgmental and compassionate space for clients in therapy. I meet clients where they are at and collaborate with them to develop a treatment plan that will enable them to meet their goals and make the changes they want. I empower clients to use their existing strengths and develop effective coping tools to improve their quality of life.
I approach my work from a trauma informed, mindful, social justice perspective. I believe clients are the experts on their lives and that the therapeutic process is a collaboration between the therapist and client.
I have 21 years of experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds. As a person with living with intersectional identities as a woman, bi/queer and person of color, I am very aware of the adverse impact of existing power structures on wellness and bring that empathy and relational view to the work with clients from similar backgrounds.
I have experience working in for profit and not for profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and in New York City with diverse communities. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University in New York City and a Master's in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA.
